Job Description

Core Elements
A Procurement Specialist professional (S2):
Is familiar with and adheres to a variety of Procurement / Global Supply Chain concepts
practices and procedures.
Engages with various stakeholders within Procurement and other corporate functions to
accomplish objectives.
Performs a variety of complex tasks with a reasonable scope of work and span of control.
Relies on experience education and/or judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Demonstrates project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Displays creativity and resourcefulness in decision making.
Recommend solutions based upon data analysis to increase business efficiency and/or
improve business processes.
Manages assignments and workload with a reasonable level of autonomy; daily tasks are
typically selfdirected and associated priorities are generally selfdetermined.
Primary Deliverables*
Serves as subject matter expert with respect to proper and comprehensive procurement records
and associated retention. As such the Specialist working with the Commodity Managers to review
for accuracy the total sourcing documentation packet prior to its entry into ERP system and to
Sourcing Council.
Supports Commodity Managers in identifying and evaluating potential threats for new and existing
suppliers. Develops mitigation/avoidance plans across all products and suppliers.
Working with commodity team in the development and implementation of recommended strategies
and goals for assigned commodities in support of business objectives related to quality
assurance technology/new product development risk mitigation and total cost.
Assists with the Commodity Manager in support of executing purchase orders and supply
agreements for direct and indirect materials and services while ensuring suppliers conformance to
companys terms and conditions.
Responsible to maintain and update as needed any purchase requistions purchase orders or
tooling purchase orders with any changes that are required.
Aids in the creation of new vendor registration and onboarding of new vendors working with the
Vendor Administrations team at Corporate.
Creates and maintains purchase orders and scheduling agreements along with supporting
documentation for the acquisition of goods and services including Supplier Non Disclosure
Agreements.
Assures systems and records are compliant with Procurement procedures and policies Corporate
delegation of authority and other government regulations or governance requirements.
Independently serves as an interface to Procurement on various transactions reports or problem
solving requirements for Accounts Payable / Receivable Treasury and Global Supply Chain.
Independently manages Procurement files reports records and programs on common
repositories and collaboration sites.
Assures data integrity within the procurement master data system.
Works with the Supply Chain Risk Team at Corporate to provide necessary details for the creation
of total cost of ownership models comparing negotiated scenarios against status quo for various
sourcing strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
Independently manages the governance of the transactions that assure the accuracy of data
within the master records. Assures that records are secure and accessible as required to the
internal users and communicated to the supply base.
Maintains a physical presence in the workplace.
Skills and Abilities:
Oral and written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills: Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook etc.
Proficient in purchasing system (SAP) for entering orders requisitions problem solving
payment problems tool orders and miscellaneous reports as required.
Experience in working with Ariba Procurement
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Analytical ability where problems are complex.
Collaboration in a variety of work settings.
Ability to organize plan document tasks and prioritize work.
Familiar with a variety of Purchasing / Global Supply Chain concepts.
Wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Education Requirement: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience

Experience:
3 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
