Manufacturing Associate I Apprenticeship Program

About This Role

An Apprenticeship at Biogen is a pathway to a longterm career in the biopharmaceutical industry. The 12month program is a role directly within our operations combined with enrollment with a registered partner Community College to continue furthering your education. Throughout the program you will be supported by customized onthejob training and mentorship from trusted and experienced members of your team. We are hiring multiple Apprentices across a number of departments at our sites in Research Triangle Park.

Manufacturing Associates perform processing steps and manufacturing support activities in our facilities in Research Triangle Park (RTP). These teams are the backbone of our operations each person playing a critical role in producing & delivering our therapies to the patients who need them.  MAs set up operate and maintain processing equipment by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within a controlled environment always following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

This position requires a schedule of a 10hour shift Monday through Thursday weekly

What Youll Do

  • Attend and actively participate in classroom & onthejob training as well as direct shadowing of current team members to assist in the execution of daily manufacturing activities including validation protocols
  • Document and record all cGMP data & information (including deviations) for processing steps and equipment activities. Create and revise key documentation like batch records SLRs and equipment logbooks
  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment always focusing on audit readiness of process areas
  • Be a team player; always showing up to contribute your energy and focus

Qualifications :

Required Skills 

  • Must be at least 18 years or age and hold a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Apprenticeship Program Must have completed (or be in the process of completing) a NC BioWork Certificate Program (PreApprenticeship) from a registered Community College AND be willing & able to complete additional coursework while working for Biogen as per NC BioNetwork Apprenticeship program requirements.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow quickly demonstrated experience employing learning agility
  • Adaptable to changing needs and demands comfortable navigating a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
