- Prepare tissue samples by fixing staining dying trimming and other methods.
- Identify and document technical issues quality assurance and procedural improvements.
- Use maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and keep a clean disinfected work space.
- Receive log and document patient specimens and accompanying forms.
Qualifications :
- The person should be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histotechnician or histotechnologist.
- Experience working in a lab is almost always a must as this is a critical part of the job.
- For new grads with positive attitudes and eagerness to learn we will gladly assist in training.

- May take newer licensed candidates under 2 years of experience
- Mohs Surgery experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.
Education:
- AS/BS in Biological/Physical Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certifications/Licenses:
- HT or HTL ASCP certified and Florida licensed (Required)
