We are looking for a PartTime Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for potential customers guide them through the onboarding process and encourage them to upgrade to our premium tiers. Youll also ensure our existing customers are billed accurately based on their monthly API usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inbound Lead Management
- Respond to incoming inquiries about our SDK and API providing accurate product information.
- Collect and qualify leads to determine fit and potential usage needs.
- Demo Account Setup
- Create and distribute API keys for new demo accounts.
- Walk new users through setup and initial technical questions.
- Sales & Upgrade Process
- Proactively follow up with demo users to encourage them to upgrade into one of our premium pricing tiers.
- Maintain a pipeline of leads ensuring timely communication and followups.
- Usage Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor API call data on a monthly basis for paying customers.
- Send midmonth and endofmonth usage reports (15 days in and at the end of each month).
- Identify potential overages and communicate these to customers promptly.
- Billing & Overages
- Generate invoices for monthly subscriptions and any usage overages.
- Coordinate with finance or use our billing tools to ensure customers are charged accurately and on time.
- Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to account status billing and usage.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage renewals and upsells.
Experience:
- 1 years in sales account management or a customerfacing role.
- Experience managing inbound pipelines or subscriptionbased products is highly desirable.
- Technical Aptitude:
- Basic understanding of APIs SDKs or cloudbased technology is a strong plus.
- Comfortable explaining technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex information into clear concise messaging.
- Confidence in reaching out to and engaging prospects via email phone or video conferencing.
- Organization & Attention to Detail:
- Ability to keep track of multiple customer accounts usage data and billing details.
- Highly organized with strong followup skills.
Tools & Software:
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot Salesforce) for lead tracking.
- Comfort using spreadsheets or analytics dashboards to monitor usage and generate reports.
Working Conditions:
Hours: Parttime role approximately 1020 hours per week (flexible schedule).
Location: Remote or hybrid options available (based on company policy and candidate preference).
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate plus commission on upgraded accounts and renewals.
