Role Overview:
We are seeking a detailoriented and professional Bookkeeper to assist with administrative duties and manage bookkeeping tasks for our diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping and accounting duties using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop platforms.
- Bank reconciliations General Ledger Maintenance and Bookkeeping
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable management
- Prepares and records asset liability revenue and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying allocating posting reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; and reconciling entries.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and journal entries
- Tie out loan balances to statements or amortization schedules.
- Conduct research analysis development and summarization of financial information for audit purposes and financial reporting and to perform the financial administration and reporting of federal and state grants.
- Manually match any remaining transactions ensuring to create rules for all recurring transactions.
- Import banking transactions and categorize transactions.
- Bank and credit card reconciliation journal entries daily entry transactions B&L F&S
- Understands cash versus accrual accounting
- Do the data entry bookkeeping and other clerical tasks Do the initial bookkeeping (preparing) for the senior bookkeeper to take over
- Will receive complex Excel sheet that will need to be organized cleaned and condensed using Excel format (not manual)
- Will handle multiple clients at once small to medium size
- Develop and maintain client manuals detailing activities that are unique to the client
- Develop and maintain checklists of endofperiod tasks for each client
- Understanding accounting concepts and analysis of accounting transactions.
- Utilizing various point of sale and customer relationship managers to integrate information into financial statements (must be able to learn new software quickly)
- Process payroll using ADP Gusto and QuickBooks payroll systems ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Protects the organizations value by keeping information confidential. Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Proven bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong focus on Excel and Word.
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging technology for a paperless work environment.
- Understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Degree in Accounting Business Operations Management or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with QuickBooks and general accounting practices.
