We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Diagnostic and/or Interventional Imaging to join our Medical Affairs team. The ideal candidate will serve as a scientific liaison to the medical and scientific community focusing on Interventional and/or Diagnostic Radiology. You will ensure the timely ethical and customerfocused dissemination of clinical and educational information regarding our marketed and pipeline compounds. We are seeking candidates to cover our Southwest and West Coast US territory.
YOUR ROLE
Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community with a focus on Interventional and/or Diagnostic Radiology.
Ensure the appropriate dissemination of clinical and educational information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely ethical and customerfocused manner.
Implement scientific and educational strategies to support companysponsored trials educational initiatives and facilitate investigatorinitiated studies.
Pair key customers' educational and research needs with available company resources providing the latest emerging data in response to specific healthcare professional inquiries.
Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific technical or clinical information about the company's products.
Engage in discussions with thought leaders at key academic centers and professional organizations in North America covering topics such as contrast agents diagnostic radiology and clinical and preclinical research.
Facilitate preclinical or clinical research or publication interests by thought leaders.
Represent the company at professional meetings congresses local symposia and partnersponsored meetings interpreting and reporting findings with recommendations for action to relevant company personnel.
Provide educational support (e.g. Continuing Education Programs) as requested by the commercial team.
Provide onsite support and assistance during product evaluation or trial processes.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Education:
An advanced degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. economics epidemiology health administration health services medicine pharmacy pharmacoeconomics public health psychology statistics or other relevant sciences) is preferred.
Experience:
At least 5 years of related experience with previous pharmaceutical industry MSL or equivalent experience.
Up to 10 years of significant previous training and experience in radiology and/or designing and conducting research and disseminating results in health economics health outcomes disease management and/or population health may substitute for the formal degree requirement.
Previous pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
Knowledge of treatment guidelines clinical research processes FDA regulations and OIG guidelines.
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to network and partner with important external customers including medical thought leaders academic institutions large group practices medical directors and pharmacy directors.
Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
Ability to build relationships internally and externally that promote learning obtain results and strengthen alliances with the health outcomes function.
Knowledge and experience of healthcare systems in the U.S. Europe or other settings as appropriate for the position requirements.
Understanding of and experience with clinical settings and clinical research.
Technical and analytic capabilities in health economic evaluation costeffectiveness evaluation burden of illness studies epidemiology statistics healthcare policy etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team/crossfunctional environment.
The ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and a solution orientation.
Project management expertise.
Training and presentation development skills.
The position is associated with approximately 40% travel.
