Your impact:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for undertaking soil testing as instructed based on the approved lab schedules and under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager.
The person:
- Experience in a similar role is desirable
- A methodical and practicalapproach with an attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A team player diligent and flexible.
The job:
- Participating in any health and safetytalks meetings or training.
- Recording and processing test data.
- Performing and recording daily and weekly equipment checks.
- Ensuring timely execution of laboratory tests.
- Preparing testing and analysing soil samples to determine their content and characteristics usinglaboratory tools or testing equipment testing may include but not be limited to:
- moisture contents;
- plastic and liquid limit testing;
- particle size distribution tests;
- density tests.
