Job Description
Applications & Toolsets Engineer
We are seeking an Applications & Toolsets Engineer to join an innovative team in designing & developing public safety technology. This role will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining software tools and applications that interface with embedded products over Bluetooth and wired interfaces. Responsibilities will include integrating automating and streamlining various internal and customerfacing software applications over multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop company internal and customer external facing software applications and toolsets written in Python JavaScript and C# (legacy) running on PCs embedded touchscreens and mobile devices.
Maintain applications and toolsets to ensure they remain effective adding features to adapt them to new requirements as needed.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs write requirements propose wireframes and build or expand UI applications to enhance workflow and support.
Ensure tools are integrated and compatible with existing infrastructure and technology stack as it evolves.
Create and maintain documentation for formal processes as well as user manuals for customerfacing applications.
Continuously monitor and optimize tool performance to improve responsiveness usability and reliability.
Technical Skills:
Highly proficient in Python and JavaScript languages.
Experience designing developing testing and debugging custom tools and UI applications using standard best practices.
Experience in designing and architecting software tools for largescale distributed systems that connect over multiple interfaces.
Experience collecting requirements from various parties such as engineers installers or manufacturing professionals to provide custom solutions.
Experience in software development methodologies (Agile Scrum etc.) and participating in sprint planning stand ups design reviews and similar.
Experience with version control systems such as Git and related best practices.
Familiarity with GTK3 framework.
Familiarity with React Native framework.
Familiarity with C# and VBA (for legacy applications).
Familiarity with database systems such as SQL.
Command line experience or familiarity.
UI/UX design experience or familiarity.
Linux MacOS Windows iOS and Android experience or familiarity.
