Job Description
JOB TITLE: Sr. Saab Mechanic
LOCATION: Manassas VA
PAY RATE: $36/hour
MUST BE US PERSONS

Job Details:

Contract Length: 6 months with potential for extension or conversion

Relocation: Outofstate candidates must relocate at their own expense (local candidates preferred).

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 36 lbs; standing for extended periods.

Expected Overtime: Possible depending on project needs.

Travel: None required.
Summary:
-
Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on Saab 340 aircraft.
-
Support complex modifications retrofits and system upgrades per regulatory standards.
-
Ensure compliance with FAA NASA and company guidelines for all maintenance tasks.
-
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and updates.
-
Monitor aircraft systems engines and components to preempt potential issues.
-
Collaborate with and support the Lead Technician and team operations.
-
Provide mentorship to junior technicians as needed.
-
Coordinate with the parts department for timely procurement of tools and materials.

Adhere to safety protocols and perform final inspections for airworthiness.
Required Skills:
-
25 years of Saab 340 aircraft maintenance and repair experience.
-
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
-
Strong understanding of Saab 340 systems engines and avionics.
-
Proficiency in maintenance tracking software and diagnostic tools.
-
Excellent communication problemsolving and leadership skills.
-
Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in Manassas VA.
Desired Skills:
-
GE CT7 General Familiarization Certification.
-
Flight Safety International Saab 340 Maintenance Certification.
-
GE Dowty Propeller Field Repairs Certification.
