Job Description
Here at Labster we are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of the Revenue Accountant will be to assist with each step in the customer journey (i.e. order to cash) where finance is typically involved. The ideal candidate will have experience in account receivables and revenue of a software company a solid understanding of accounting principles and excellent communication abilities. This position will report to the Finance Director and is an excellent opportunity to help lead an organization through a transformative time in the business. Responsibilities
- Review closedwon opportunities before validating as ready to invoice
- Manage the revenue recognition process and deferred revenue reconciliation
- Validate sales commission calculations
- Maintain customer data in accounting systems
- Issue customer invoices
- Apply customer payments against outstanding invoices
- Manage the dunning/collections process for outstanding invoices
- Represent Finance in crossfunctional collection meetings
- Monitor VAT and sales/use tax compliance in everyday operations
- Assist with the annual audit process
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Competencies & Skills
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Finance Data Analytics or similar.
- Verbal and written fluency in English
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Revenue
- Critical Thinking and highly motivated
- NetSuite Excel Google Sheets and Salesforce
- A plus if you have experience with working in multinational companies (various regulatory frameworks and foreign currencies)
- Exceptional analytical skills coupled with a solid understanding of business dynamics
- Strong communications skills and ability to work crossfunctionally and with the senior leadership team
- Proven track record of delivering on commitments and working closely & effectively with peers and leaders outside of the Finance team
