Job Description

Our client one of the main leaders in the beauty and fashion industry is seeking a highly motivated detailoriented and analytical General Accountant to join their Global Financial Services team based in Barcelona for the Greek market. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment providing financial services to subsidiaries worldwide.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in executing supporting and supervising core financial operations including general ledger management journal entry processing and monthly tax declarations while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Tasks

  • Oversee monthly quarterly and yearly closing processes ensuring compliance with group accounting rules and accurate reporting
  • Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts ensuring reliability and adherence to group and statutory standards
  • Coordinate quarterly intercompany reconciliations and prepare group financial reports
  • Collaborate with tax advisors to provide information for monthly tax declarations and corporate income tax calculations
  • Lead external audit processes and maintain statutory accounting records in line with local standards
  • Develop yearly balance sheet and cash flow budgets as well as forecasts
  • Control and manage fixed assets ensuring proper accounting and reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum 23 years of experience in a similar role preferably in a shared services environment with multicurrency postings and large intercompany reconciliations.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and adapt to a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication analytical skills and autonomy with experience managing international stakeholders.
  • Expertise in SAP and MS Office tools.
  • Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
