Job Title: Strategic Account Manager (field based) (Cambridge and North West UK)

Job Location: Epsom UK

Job Location Type: Remote

We are looking for a Field Account Manager to join our sales team working remotely with travel required.

We are looking for a Field Account Manager for the Sales department at Sartorius. In this role you will be responsible for commercial activities ownership/ sales development of customer accounts managing relationships identifying new opportunities in collaboration with the R&D technical team.

You will be part of an international team of professionals and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.

You will ideally be based from home with up to 30 – 50% of travel required predominantly in the UK covering Cambridge Macclesfield and Speke to visit customers plus occasional international travel to the Nordics and other global locations so ideally you will be located close to an international airport and either 1 hour travel from Cambridge or Macclesfield and Liverpool.

Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis you will be responsible for understanding customer needs to promote product portfolio and services to achieve sales and revenue targets as well as respond to customer enquiries
  • You will identify new business opportunities aligned with the company’s overall market and growth strategy
  • Generate develop and maintain leads in CRM (Salesforce) as well as all customer interactions and sales activities ensuring information is all up to date
  • Analyse customer data to identify trends generate customer insights and track sales performance
  • Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the implementation of sales activity
  • Liaises with internal teams such as Application Specialists Order Process Management Sales Support etc. to gain further business from customers
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities
  • Develop and implement account plans and request and coordinate resources in line with account plans
  • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership

What Will Convince Us

  • A degree in life sciences or engineering or equivalent would be preferred higher level qualification would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience in biotech/pharma industry with some laboratorybased experience is essential
  • Strong customer focus with great communication and negotiation skills
  • Creative thinker when it comes to problem solving self – motivated and results oriented
  • Knowledge or use of CRM tools
  • Self – motivated energetic and results oriented
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility as well as collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Willingness to travel (Full driving license required)
