Job Description
Position: Civil Site Agent/Construction Manager
Location: Paarl South Africa
Salary: R40000 R60000 per month
Overview:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Civil Site Agent/Construction Manager to join a dynamic team in Paarl. If you have a strong background in civil engineering and project management a passion for construction excellence and a proven track record of delivering highquality civil projects this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning: Develop monitor and update project plans ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives.
- Management: Oversee daytoday site operations ensuring productivity and compliance with safety regulations.
- Materials Management: Coordinate procurement delivery and storage of materials to prevent delays and ensure quality standards.
- Cost Management: Manage budgets track expenses and identify costsaving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Contractual Management: Administer contracts resolve disputes and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Public Relations: Act as the liaison between clients consultants and stakeholders maintaining strong and positive relationships.
Qualifications:
- BEng / BSc / BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- ECSA or SACPCMP registration (preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software such as MS Project.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods standards and regulations (e.g. SANS 1200/GCC).
- Valid drivers license.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience managing civil construction projects including pipelines earthworks roads and concrete works.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Problemsolving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of handson construction management experience on civil projects.
