Job Description

Cooling technician for Africa

Location: Gauteng

Salary: Marketrelated

Our client is seeking a talented and ambitious engineer or technician for an exciting and challenging role designing and installing cold storage solutions for food and agricultural businesses across Africa.

Main responsibilities

Support the development of cooling solutions for clients in new industries and new markets across Africa

Design the cooling specifications and select the main components for new and expanding cold storage systems.

Build technical and commercial proposals for cold room and other cooling systems

Oversee supplier and installer quality assurance processes including design reviews and compliance checks

Provide aftersales technical assistance and troubleshooting

Key skills and qualifications

A diploma degree or other technical qualification preferably in refrigeration or other related industry

5 to 10 years of handson experience in the refrigeration or other related industry (e.g. electric/mechanical/HVAC)

Experience in and preferably based in an Eastern or Southern African country

Job terms

A good remuneration as a freelance contractor or employee

Home based with options for office as required

Travel costs across the region will be covered
