Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain laundry equipment including washers dryers and ironing machines
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laundry supplies
Sort wash dry and fold laundry according to established procedures
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laundry equipment
Train and supervise ships laundry staff on proper laundry procedures and safety protocols
Ensure that all laundry operations comply with company and industry standards
Keep accurate records of laundry usage and expenses
Communicate with ships management and crew to ensure timely and efficient laundry services
Maintain a clean and organized laundry facility at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Laundry Technician preferably in a maritime setting
Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
Valid certification in laundry operations is a plus
