We are a leading translation company specializing in highquality translations in Canadas official languages. We Serve a diverse range of clients including government agencies private corporations and independent organizations. We are dedicated to delivering accurate translations across various fields such as business law finance technology and more.
Responsibilities:
French translators specialize in document translation from English to French in various formats and fields of specialization.
Translators perform some or all of the following duties:
- Translate a variety of written material such as administration and management reports correspondence legal documents work descriptions speeches media lines publications letters memoranda questionnaires financial scientific and technical reports minutes of meetings and conferences technical specifications and other texts.
- Accurately convey the content context tone and style of the source text using means natural to the target language.
- Conduct terminological research on a given subject suggest terminology and create and contribute to translation memory banks glossaries lexicons and terminology databases.
- Revise proofread verify and correct texts translated by other translators.
- Train supervise and consult other translators.
- Communicate with authors originators clients resource persons etc..
- Utilize translation memory and translation management systems e.g. Trados MemoQ Logiterm CAT tools and other instruments used in translation.
- Are proficient using common wordprocessing Windowsbased programs like MS Word Excel PowerPoint and online translation research tools.
Qualifications:
- French language native speaker proficiency
- English language professional speaker proficiency
- Candidates must meet ONE of the following:
- University degree in Translation Studies with specialization in translation interpretation or terminology
- University degree in a related linguistic field (languages linguistics or philology) with two years of professional translation experience
- Minimum two years of fulltime professional translation experience in two languages including at least one official language
- Familiar with TERMIUM and other terminology databases.
- Ability to translate in the range of 1500 to 2000 words per day
- Bears full responsibility for the overall quality of delivered translations

Assets (Not Mandatory):
- Experience in a regulated industry
- Teaching/Tutoring experience
- Working knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL relational databases.
