Job Description
3rd Shift 12 hours on a 3/4 schedule 10PM 10 AM
Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance mechanical and machine repairs building maintenance and support specific projects.
- This role ensures the maintenance and repair of production equipment support equipment and facility grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair machinery equipment physical structures piping and electrical systems.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes grinders drill presses and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production and facility equipment to optimize efficiency.
- Identify and address problems implementing solutions to improve productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area ensuring a safe work environment.
- Utilize maintenance systems to document and track daily weekly and monthly tasks.
- Safely operate material handling equipment.
- Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs and plant initiatives.
- Participate in safety observations and uphold SQF 2000 Systems standards.
- Comply with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 24 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
- Proficiency in welding electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints electrical schematics and parts specifications.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including overtime weekends and holidays.
- Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Selfmotivated with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with chemical exposure.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stand walk sit bend squat reach and push/pull.
- Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Work in varying temperatures noisy environments and confined spaces.
- Must be able to climb ladders crawl and perform tasks in awkward positions.
