Job Description

Job Title: Data Migration Field Support Technician

Location: Idaho Boise

Duration: 12 months (5 days onsite Boise)

Job Type: Onsite

Important:

Key Requirements:

  • Travel:
    • Frequent statewide travel for weeks each month including overnight stays.
  • Location:
    • Based in Boise Idaho with full onsite attendance required when not traveling.
  • Interviews:
    • Inperson interviews at the Boise office are mandatory.
  • Additional Notes:
    • Background checks will verify all education and work history.
    • Candidates must meet all outlined requirements and agree to travel policies.

Job Description:

  • Perform hardware deployments and manage portable and remote devices as well as peripheral devices.
  • Facilitate data migration of emails and documents to a centralized Microsoft 365 (M365) tenant.
  • Configure and troubleshoot standard desktop/laptop hardware printers and mobile devices.
  • Assist with onboarding new users to M365 including SharePoint OneDrive and Outlook.
  • Manage and maintain user data and information during hardware upgrades.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and court leadership to prioritize tasks and provide timely support.
  • Ensure accurate inventory records for equipment and serialized assets.
  • Work closely with court staff for office moves adds and changes.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to the appropriate IT team members.
  • Assist with testing troubleshooting and validating new hardware and applications.
  • Maintain excellent communication with users regarding issue resolution and task completion.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelors degree preferred.
    • Three years of IT support experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Experience with M365 onboarding and user support (SharePoint OneDrive Outlook).
    • Proficiency in migrating emails and documents to M365 Outlook and OneDrive.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 2016.
    • Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skills (preferred).
    • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory management (preferred).
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
    • Familiarity with court processes and information systems (preferred).
Required/Desired Skills: Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Customer service including the ability to prioritize and address customer questions and trouble tickets based on customer needs and impacts. Required 3 Years Troubleshooting and maintaining Active Directory users computers groups and policies. Nice to have 2 Years Onboarding new users to Microsoft 365 with emphasis on Sharepoint OneDrive and Outlook as well as answering general user questions Required 2 Years Migrating end user emails and documents to M365 Outlook and OneDrive from onpremise Exchange external M365 and/org Google Workspace. Required 2 Years Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10 and 11. Highly desired 2 Years Troubleshooting Microsoft Office 2016 including exporting/importing mail calendar and contacts Highly desired 2 Years Basic network (wired and wireless) configuration and troubleshooting including ping and trace route Nice to have 1 Years Ability to travel throughout the State of Idaho as detailed in job description and required for the position Required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical in this role. Required
