Key Responsibilities of a BCBA
- Conduct comprehensive behavior assessments to develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Provide direct and indirect supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians and other team members.
- Monitor client progress and adjust intervention plans to ensure the effectiveness of therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with families caregivers and other professionals to promote a consistent approach across environments.
Qualifications for a Successful BCBA
- Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field with 2 years of experienceworking with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in a multidisciplinary team setting preferred
- Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with experience in developing behavior intervention plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients and teams.
