Job Description

Team Summary

The Products & ValueAdded Service (VAS) team in Thailand is responsible for developing product strategy providing the thought leadership longterm strategy / design for consumer payments and will be responsible for achieving the markets VAS revenue and sales targets across all categories including Risk and Data Solutions Issuing Solutions Digital Solutions Network Solutions and Innovation across the market.

This team will have significant interaction with the SMT (Singapore Malaysia Thailand cluster and Regional Market Support Centre product teams) and collaborate with crossfunctional teams within Visa. In addition the Products & VAS team also serve as key influencers of the broader payments and VAS strategy in the market that helps drive innovation and growth in the large ecosystem.

What a Head of Products & VAS does at Visa:

The Head of Products & VAS Thailand will be responsible to lead the Thailand Products & VAS team working closely with the Country Manager. The position will have significant interaction with all the major cross functional teams within Thailand and Regional Market Support Center Products & VAS teams   Sales Marketing Risk Finance Consulting & Analytics Client Services and Government Relations.

The primary responsibilities of the Head of Products & VAS Thailand would include

  • Develop deliver and activate consumer payments strategies across card and noncard payments
  • Achieve key financial / business metric performance indicators for Visa Thailand products including revenue operating expense budgets CIF (credentials in force) payment volume and transaction volume customer satisfaction score
  • Develop strategy for products and VAS for Thailand including identifying market opportunities for new Visa products (card and noncard) value proposition and gotomarket strategy
  • Collaborate with financial institution clients (GTM partners) to identify opportunities and successful launch or refresh clients Visa offerings
  • Develop pipeline of product enhancements developments and acceleration plans and launch new product initiatives on time within budget and across multiple clients
  • Lead solution designs to meet clients needs collaborating with Visa subject matter experts
  • Bridge clients business leaders technical leaders and relevant parties to advance solution implementation
  • Act as the seniorlevel pointofcontact for clients on innovation consumer digital solutions and major payments trends / developments
  • Lead the Thailand Products & VAS team a team of innovative and engaged individuals focused on delivering best in class products to address local customer preference and anticipated needs

This role is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Visa solutions and VAS in Thailand this includes direct revenue goals as well as product penetration and ecosystem development goals. The Head of Products & VAS in a market will act as a key influencer in the country leadership team and act as a key advisor to clients in the market.

Projects you will be a part of:

As Head of Products & VAS for Thailand the successful candidate will be working on

  • Building and scaling Visas solutions
  • Accelerating the growth of Visa Solutions with banks in Thailand
  • Introducing enabling and expanding the use of Visas new products and VAS solutions (including new acquisitions) in the market to drive direct and indirect revenue
  • Regularly interfacing with key payment ecosystem leaders including issuers merchants regulatory bodies and industry experts

Employees expected to work from the office 3 set days a week with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications :

What you will need:

  • 15 years of experience and strong understanding of trends and themes in payments and commerce futurist outlook and passion for technology and innovation
  • Experience in the retail bank/consumer cards marketing businesses coupled with at least 8 years of experience in developing and launching new banking services debit and credit cards epayment services and other digital products/services in a financial institution
  • Worldclass International standard level of clientfacing and presentation skills
  • Proven records of designing solutions for issuers merchants and ability to connect business leaders with technical leaders
  • Strong business acumen and management skills
  • Degree qualified in business and/or technology. Post graduate qualifications highly desirable. Top tier MBA strongly preferred
