Job Description
We are looking for a versatile curious and energetic Senior Software Engineering Manager who embraces solving complex challenges on a global scale. In this role you will be an integral part of a multifunctional development team inventing designing building and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.
As part of the US Engineering Department at Visa Open Banking Solutions youll be responsible for developing implementation maintenance & support of Open Banking products for the US. Through this challenging job youll gain experience collaborating with various parts of the business in understanding requirements for enhancements identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes to the system or processes where needed. As an Engineering Manager at Visa Open Banking Solutions you are expected to foster a culture of high performance engagement continuous learning and a cando attitude within your team. Your focus will be on developing superior products of exceptional quality with the goal of ensuring our customers success.
Responsibilities:
Work with high load systems with high uptime requirements including oncall shifts
Work with Tinks technologies which is mainly Java PHP NodeJS AWS Kubernetes Docker SQL Datadog and much more
Be responsible for the overall delivery and quality delivered by your team. You will enable the team to reach their targets by removing impediments clarifying goals and fostering ownership and accountability
Own the teams overall planning execution and success of complex technical projects crossproduct teams
Work closely with product management to ensure were building products in the best way and to deliver on customer commitments and targets
Setting clear priorities and providing leadership in a fastpaced and innovative environment.
Work on discovery investigating and trying out new solutions with the team
Mentor and motivate a high performing team of senior technology engineers to achieve critical business goals and KPIs
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
Ability to write elegant robust code to rapidly produce proofsofconcept or prototypes to illustrate new ideas or approaches
Being datadriven and always seeking new ways of improving your services
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
- Handson experience in at least one of the backend programming languages like JAVA Python PHP or NodeJS.
- Highly prefer deep technical knowledge around successfully architecting and building complex software systems at scale with high availability low latency & strong data consistency.
- Experience working with different kinds of technology (e.g. JavaScript Java Python) in one platform and streamlining them for the best possible product solution.
- Experience leading a high performing engineering team with 3 years of people management experience.
- Highly prefer handson experience building high performing Open Banking solutions for the North American market.
Additional Information :
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $116800 to $211950 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
