Job Description
A leading engineering and project management consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee mineral processing projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing EPCM projects within the PGM Chrome Base Metals Concentrator and Platinum Smelter sectors. This role requires a strong technical background leadership capabilities and the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility to execution ensuring project objectives are met.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineering procurement and construction to drive project success.
- Manage budgets schedules and risk assessments to optimize project efficiency and mitigate challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients contractors and key stakeholders ensuring smooth communication and project alignment.
- Ensure regulatory compliance health & safety standards and industry best practices are upheld.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies and innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior project staff to develop internal expertise.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- B.Eng / B.Sc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng / B.Sc preferred).
- 1015 years of relevant experience in EPCM project management within the mining and mineral processing industry.
- Proven track record of delivering largescale projects with companies such as Anglo Platinum DRA Worley Parsons TWP Hatch RSV Wood METC SGS etc.
- Strong technical expertise in PGM Chrome Base Metals Concentrators and Smelters is highly advantageous.
- PMP certification is preferred but not essential.
