Position Description
Join our dynamic team of scientists this summer as an intern focused on cuttingedge research in neuroscience! Youll contribute to our structurebased drug design efforts by assisting in determining the 3D structures of protein complexes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain handson experience with stateoftheart biophysical and structural techniques including cryoEM and Xray crystallography. Youll play a vital role in our fastpaced innovative environment as we tackle unmet medical needs. Qualifications :
The successful candidate will show experience in the following areas:
- Experience with cryoEM and/or Xray crystallography
- Familiarity with structural biology software (e.g. PyMOL Coot)
- Interest in learning methods in protein engineering
- Be responsible organized and possess strong attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
To participate in the Biogen Summer Intern Program students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
Education
Current graduate students pursuing Masters or Ph.D. degree in Biophysics Biochemistry or related discipline interested in 3month long industry internship.
