JOB DESCRIPTION: STRUCTURAL PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (P.E.)
Position: STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Hybrid Role
Location: Charlotte North Carolina
Salary: Based on experience

Hybrid: 3 days in office 2 days home

Specific Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- Possess indepth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes criteria and structural mechanics.
- Design permanent structures such as bridges sign foundations moment slabs MSE walls etc.
- Design temporary structures including but not limited to:
- Formwork/Falsework Design
- Erection Demolition and Heavy Lift Planning
- Support of Excavation Systems
- Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
- Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
- Fall Protection Systems
- Barge Analysis
- Provide onsite design engineering support and inspections.
- Coordinate with Project Managers/Engineers and Owners to resolve issues.
- Identify and assist with the preparation of value engineering proposals.
- Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
- Support the Project Manager with project log updates and maintenance.
- Assist with surveying calculations and plans.
- Implement new software (3D CAD DatuBIM etc.).
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors and/or Masters Degree or higher in Structural Engineering Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABETaccredited college or university (Masters Degree preferred).
- GPA above 3.0 is preferred.
- Must Have 3 to 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
- Experience with permanent and temporary structures and/or construction engineering is preferred but not required.
- PE licensure or ability to obtain it once experience/testing requirements are met.
- Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.
- Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD MicroStation RISA3D MathCAD SkyCiv etc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Team player who is selfmotivated to succeed.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
