Job Description
Position: STRUCTURAL ENGINEERINTRAINING (SEIT)
Location: Charlotte North Carolina
Salary: Based on experience
Industry: Construction / Civil Engineering / Bridges
Hybrid: 3 days in office 2 days home

Specific Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Possess an indepth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes design criteria and structural mechanics.
- Design permanent structures such as bridges sign foundations moment slabs MSE walls etc.
- Design temporary structures including but not limited to:
- Formwork/Falsework Design
- Erection Demolition and Heavy Lift Planning
- Support of Excavation Systems
- Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
- Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
- Fall Protection Systems
- Barge Analysis
- Provide onsite design engineering support and inspections.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to resolve issues.
- Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors and/or Masters Degree or higher in Structural Engineering Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABETaccredited college or university (Masters Degree or greater is preferred).
- A GPA above 3.0 is highly preferred.
- 02 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with permanent and temporary structures construction engineering or construction labor is a plus.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or the ability to do so within the first year of employment.
- Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.
- Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD MicroStation RISA3D MathCAD SkyCiv etc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Team player and selfmotivated to achieve success.
