Job Description
Job Summary: Eurofins Medical Device Microbiology is seeking an Associate Scientist to join their dynamic team in pursuit of making the world a safer place through Medical Device testing. This individual will perform endotoxin sterility and bioburden testing as well as environmental monitoring to ensure products meet regulatory standards while aligning with the Med Device philosophy of precision proficiency and proximity. 1st and 2nd shift available.
2nd Shift Hours: MF 2pm11pm
Qualifications :
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility as appropriate
- Perform bioburden endotoxin and sterility testing as well as environmental monitoring
- Perform microscopy and utilize testing equipment including incubation chambers water baths depyrogenation oven plate readers Steritest Symbio pump among others.
- Read test results and compare to acceptance criteria
- Enter data into computer system
- Maintain/calibrate equipment
- Prepare and wash glassware
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team selfmotivation adaptability and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in biology microbiology or other related degree concentration or equivalent directlyrelated experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one fulltime year of college in related major)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
