Job Description
Essential part of the Finance and Operations teams by serving in a critical workforce planning role while managing a major portion of the stations expenses. Position resides in the Finance department and reports directly to the Senior Finance Director along with significant interaction with the VP of Finance and other station management.
Responsibilities
- Key prepare/lead for following functions:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Month End Close & variance analyses
- Weekly Ad Revenue Projections/Pacing
- Headcount Analytics
- Financial/Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Workflow documentation and internal audit liaison
- Vendor management
- Capital and fixed asset tracking
- Partner with the managers of the operating groups to review budget performance and assess impact of operational changes
- Responsible for preparing and evaluating key operational and financial metrics
- Develop design and evaluate models for business process improvements to be shared with senior and operational management
- Assist in development of presentations to executive management
- Manage ad hoc projects and report requests
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of work experience in finance public accounting or operations
- Aptitude for complex problem solving and an ability to identify and implement process improvement and change management
- Superior organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with an ability to drive results based on analysis
- Ability to write speak and present effectively
- Ability to read interpret and apply contractual elements to business
- Excellent excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables and advanced formulas Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to influence and lead change
- Working knowledge of finance (Accounts Payable General ledger etc.) and scheduling systems
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to adapt and work well in a fastpaced resultsoriented and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple assignments meet tight deadlines and be effective and decisive under pressure
- Past work experience in the Media industry or broadcast environment preferred
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
