Functions and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Group Corporate Controller responsible for financial operations of EMEA including monthly closing reporting and review of internal controls.
- Supervise a team of 17 in the global Finance department working closely with the Controller team.
- Oversee and provide advice on payroll tax transfer pricing and compliance matters.
- Manage interactions with Payroll vendors and act as Finance Business Partner for regional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Finance team in North America for financial reporting and commentary.
- Work with Managing Directors and Leadership Team across regional offices (up to 30 team members in headcount).
- Office locations include Oulu Finland; Berlin Germany; and Munich Germany with possible hybrid work arrangements.
- Responsible for financial reporting development and finance trends in Europe (Netherlands Germany Finland).
- Implement strategic plans communicated by Headquarters ensuring timely and effective improvements.
- Supervise Accounting staff in Europe liaising with service providers across multiple locations.
- Interact with auditors insurance agents banks government bodies suppliers and customers.
- Oversee regional accounting functions and reporting ensuring compliance with group policies and local requirements.
- Maintain taxcompliance schedules and ensure VAT returns filing.
- Conduct efficient audits with minimal recommendations.

- Travel required 25% per month primarily within Europe.
Qualifications for Success:
- University degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration.
- Experience in global companies ideally in tech or manufacturing.
- Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA).
- 5 years of experience in financial management and leadership roles preferably in Germany or Finland.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience managing remote teams and regional exposure.
- Proficient in English; fluency in a local language is a plus.
- Detailoriented proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Experience with GSuite and Tier 1 ERP systems (Oracle SAP Netsuite) is beneficial.
