Job Summary:
The IT Business Systems Analyst Principal at NextEra Energy will lead and support the design implementation and maintenance of complex IT systems and projects that align with the strategic goals of the organization. This role requires extensive interaction with business stakeholders technical teams and external vendors. The IT Business Systems Analyst Principal will serve as a liaison ensuring that business needs are clearly communicated and met through technology solutions and will play a critical role in applying a deep understanding of business processes and technology capabilities to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Management:
- Lead largescale IT projects from inception through delivery ensuring they meet scope budget timeline and quality criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans resource allocation and management and facilitate project meetings.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand business needs gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Facilitate workshops meetings and discussions to foster consensus and drive decisionmaking.
- Technical Analysis & Design:
- Perform detailed analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Design and document business process flows data models and system integrations.
- Evaluate existing IT systems and recommend enhancements or replacements.
- Solution Development:
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions are aligned with business requirements.
- Develop and review test plans and oversee user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers ensuring they meet contractual obligations and service levels.
- Evaluate and select technology vendors negotiate contracts and manage performance.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Advocate for and lead initiatives that drive innovation and efficiency within IT and across business units.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies making recommendations for adoption where relevant.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create comprehensive documentation of business requirements technical specifications and project deliverables.
- Provide training and support to endusers and stakeholders on new systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT business analysis with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing complex IT projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in data analysis process modeling and requirements documentation.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Strong understanding and experience with test management and solution certification (QMetry Jira)
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with various software development methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall) and experience with enterprise systems (e.g. ERP CRM) and data management solutions.
