Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive QA Lead to take ownership of quality assurance efforts for assigned projects ensuring high standards of software quality and a seamless user experience. This role involves leading QA processes for multiple concurrent projects collaborating closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence. The QA Lead will establish efficient automation processes reduce manual effort and deliver actionable insights through QA reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Project Ownership and Accountability
- Take complete ownership of QA activities for assigned projects ensuring delivery meets defined quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements including business use cases and associated artifacts to establish a customercentric approach.
- Serve as the point of accountability for ensuring project quality resolving defects and delivering timely and highquality releases.
Process Setup and Automation
- Establish robust automation processes to minimize manual testing efforts and accelerate delivery timelines.
- Leverage tools such as Selenium Appium and others to automate test cases for mobile and web applications.
- Optimize testing workflows to support agile project delivery in a fastpaced environment.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans test cases and UAT protocols aligned with business needs.
- Conduct manual and automation testing to ensure functionality performance and security meet client expectations.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve defects efficiently.
Reporting and Insights
- Generate and manage detailed QA reports including defect logs test coverage reports and metrics for automation coverage.
- Provide actionable insights through datadriven QA reporting to improve project quality and performance.
Team Collaboration and Support
- Guide and mentor junior QA team members fostering a collaborative and performanceoriented environment.
- Act as a liaison between the QA team project managers and clients to align on quality goals and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (preferred).
- 7 years of experience in QA roles with at least 3 years in a QA lead position managing projects.
- Expertise in manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications including tools like Selenium Appium JMeter and security testing tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC Agile methodologies and QA processes.
- Proven experience in creating detailed QA reports and metrics to support project transparency.
- Customercentric mindset with the ability to align QA processes to business use cases and user expectations.
- Excellent communication leadership and collaboration skills for effective crossteam coordination.
