Job Description
Are you a passionate sports enthusiast with a flair for storytelling Nines Wide World of Sports team is on the lookout for a talented Sports Journalist to help deliver engaging timely content to nine.com.au. While AFL will be your primary focus youll also have the opportunity to cover a wide range of sports and become a key voice in our sports journalism team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source write and publish stories across a variety of sports with a focus on AFL
- Lead our AFL coverage while also contributing to stories on other major sports
- Build strong relationships with the 9News Melbourne team and Nines various sports departments
- Use editorial content to promote Nines sports shows and events
Qualifications :
- A passionate sports fan with a particular expertise in AFL but a broad interest in other sports
- A skilled writer capable of producing compelling and accurate stories under tight deadlines
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment and contributing to a highenergy team
- Comfortable with shift and roster work including late shifts (311pm 23 nights per week) and occasional weekend work
