Our client a leading advisory firm specializing in economic development solutions within the private energy sector is seeking to expand its team. Responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing agreements legal opinions and correspondence to ensure compliance and protect the firms interests.
- Providing transaction support including legal documentation and negotiations to facilitate smooth deal execution.
- Supporting community engagement initiatives ensuring legal compliance in all interactions.
- Conducting market research to stay informed on relevant legal developments and trends in the industry.
- Offering inhouse legal support to the Economic Development and Projects (EDP) team advising on legal risks and strategies.
- Providing advisory services on Economic Development Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) matters and BroadBased Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) compliance.
Requirements:
- LLB.
- Admitted Attorney.
- 2 3 years of corporate commercial experience (post admittance).
- Excellent drafting skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal principles and procedures.
- Strong analytical problem solving and decisionmaking skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
- Excellent administration and organizational skills (corporate governance experience beneficial).
- Welldeveloped written and oral communications skills
- Motivated to work in economic development ESG space.
- Prepared to travel within South Africa.
