Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced EHS Manager to join our growing team. This is an ideal role for a quality driven professional with excellent communications and client management skills looking to work on large impactful projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the EHS field working on large complex projects.

In this role you will be responsible for among other things:

  • Ensure awareness among project managers with regard to the subject of Safety. 
  • This is a site based project role
  • Prepare implement and monitor construction the project EHS plan
  • Lead of safety meetings with Client & Trades
  • Supervise clients project EHS oversight resources including outsource EHS competent persons
  • Assessment and approval of contractor safety plans
  • Review and comment on High Risk Activities
  • Champion safety initiatives and support the Clients safety campaigns
  • Apply lessons learnt and best practice
  • Lead of investigations and root cause
  • Provide Safety support & guidance 
  • Ensure the Clients safety requirements and local codes are met
  • Ensure synergy with the Safety Programme led by Turner & Townsend.

Qualifications :

  • Suitable candidates are likely to have a minimum of 10 years experience in EHS lead Management positions.
  • Demonstrable experience in working on large scale complex projects.
  • Practiced in project control mechanisms and with technical risk assessments
  • Strong communication skills as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
  • Outstanding organization coordination and leadership skills ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and comfortable with being client facing
  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment
