Job Description
Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced EHS Manager to join our growing team. This is an ideal role for a quality driven professional with excellent communications and client management skills looking to work on large impactful projects.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the EHS field working on large complex projects.
In this role you will be responsible for among other things:
- Ensure awareness among project managers with regard to the subject of Safety.
- This is a site based project role
- Prepare implement and monitor construction the project EHS plan
- Lead of safety meetings with Client & Trades
- Supervise clients project EHS oversight resources including outsource EHS competent persons
- Assessment and approval of contractor safety plans
- Review and comment on High Risk Activities
- Champion safety initiatives and support the Clients safety campaigns
- Apply lessons learnt and best practice
- Lead of investigations and root cause
- Provide Safety support & guidance
- Ensure the Clients safety requirements and local codes are met
- Ensure synergy with the Safety Programme led by Turner & Townsend.
Qualifications :
- Suitable candidates are likely to have a minimum of 10 years experience in EHS lead Management positions.
- Demonstrable experience in working on large scale complex projects.
- Practiced in project control mechanisms and with technical risk assessments
- Strong communication skills as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
- Outstanding organization coordination and leadership skills ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors
- Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and comfortable with being client facing
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment
