Job Description
Job Title: Takeoff Specialist
Location: Remote (MST Time Zone)
Salary Range: up to 1200 USD
Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (MST)

About the Company:
The company is a construction services provider that specializes in estimating and project planning. The team works with contractors developers and architects to ensure accurate project scoping cost estimation and successful execution of construction projects.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly detailoriented and analytical Takeoff Specialist to assist with construction blueprint analysis and scope quantification. The ideal candidate will have experience using construction markup software such as Procore Estimating or BlueBeam Revu and must have a degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
This role offers a growth path into a Junior Estimator position for high performers.
Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Markup & Scope Quantification:
- Proactively reach out to potential clients via outbound calls and followups.
- Review construction plans and blueprints to identify the scope of work.
- Use takeoff software to markup blueprints and quantify materials demolition areas and other project elements.
Project Coordination & Documentation:
- Summarize takeoff details and prepare reports for the estimating team.
- Maintain organized records of quantities measurements and scope details.
Software Utilization & Technical Skills:
- Work within Procore Estimating BlueBeam Revu or similar construction software to conduct takeoffs.
- Ensure all takeoff data is accurate and aligned with project requirements.
Collaboration & Support:
- Communicate with estimators and project managers to refine project details.
- Assist in identifying potential discrepancies in blueprints and flagging concerns before finalizing takeoffs.
Qualifications:
MustHaves:
- Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in construction blueprint markup software (Procore Estimating BlueBeam Revu or similar).
- Strong English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple takeoffs simultaneously.
NicetoHaves:
- Experience in construction estimating.
- Understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Familiarity with cost estimation principles.
