Our Planning & Infrastructure Economics helps shape the future of energy by collaborating with industry leaders on cuttingedge energy policy issues. With the global and Australian energy sectors undergoing rapid transformation our team are working closely with governments utilities consumer groups and policymakers to address the evolving challenges and opportunities.
Your Opportunity Manager Energy Policy & Regulation Sydney
You will lead reforms in market design network planning and regulation and the integration of consumer energy resources that are shaping the future of the energy sector. You will understand the dynamic environment of the energy market and the complex and engaging challenges in market transformation economic efficiency and customer behaviour and be excited to support these changes.
You will work alongside industry leaders developing energy policy and regulation supporting clients through complex challenges and driving reform across the energy sector. You will be a selfled collaborative professional who will:
- Work with governments and policymakers to shape energy policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and provide strategic advice to clients on how to navigate regulatory and policy challenges and to optimise value.
- Be enthusiastic about resolving issues that impact the energy industry regarding policy and regulation.
- Manage projects and client deliverables and confident to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Play an active role in fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture while mentoring junior colleagues.
You will form part of KPMG Australias Infrastructure Assets and Places group which has over six hundred professionals that deliver strategic commercial and technical expertise and tailored solutions for clients.

- Experiences in a consulting regulatory or operational environment.
- A curiosity in how disruptive technologies is transforming the energy sector.
- Qualifications in commerce economics law engineering science or a relevant field.
- An ability to thrive in a dynamic environment balancing competing demands.
