Roles and responsibilities
The organization is a flagship giga project under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to create a world-class entertainment, cultural and lifestyle destination. The Senior Manager - Policy & Process Standardization is responsible for developing and maintaining standardized procurement policies and processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role ensures governance structures are in place, drives process improvement initiatives, and supports strategic decision-making through data insights. The role also oversees the effective communication, implementation, and training on new policies and processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy & Process Development
- Lead the creation, review, and standardization of procurement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Establish governance frameworks for policy approval, updates, and enforcement
- Identify and address gaps in existing processes, leveraging data analytics and best practices
- Use data insights to identify areas for process improvement and recommend innovative solutions
- Monitor the impact of policy and process changes on operational efficiency and compliance
- Compliance & Governance
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and processes
- Drive the implementation of standardized policies through effective communication and training programs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure policy compliance and adherence to organizational objectives
- Team Management and Development
- Work closely with Learning & Development teams to design and deliver targeted training programs on standardized policies and processes
- Support team members through mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Oversee and support junior team members, ensuring professional growth through mentorship and annual performance appraisals
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
Desired candidate profile
- 12+ years of experience in policy governance, process standardization, or similar roles, ideally in large-scale projects such as construction, real estate, or urban development
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Accounting, Business, or related fields. MBA and/or other advanced degrees preferred
- Preferred: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process gaps and implement effective solutions
- Proven track record of working in cross-collaborative environments and ensuring differing goals and needs align with overarching organizational strategy
- Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Arabic highly desirable
- Understanding of the local cultural and business landscape in Saudi Arabia through work experience in the region preferred
