Job Description

The Product Managers primary responsibility is to build products and solutions that deliver delightful experiences with a substantial value proposition across the payments ecosystem. To be successful the individual must maintain a high level of coordination and collaboration with multiple crossfunctional stakeholder teams globally. The ideal person for this role should have a passion for innovation in payments technology and product management be detailoriented and have the ability to drive results within a complex environment.

The Product Manager will work with internal and external clients to understand the solution they are looking to develop. They will have an understanding the competitive and market landscape Visa and DPS solutions and use that knowledge in engagements. She/he/they are expected to have a key role in setting the strategy and influencing the roadmap.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with clients partners business unit leaders engineering architects user experience and global crossfunctional counterparts to build iterate and refine new issuer processing solutions. 

  • Actively participate in feature refinement sessions to gain understanding of new features and provide input on potential areas of impact

  • Refines an assigned EPIC/feature by collaborating with stakeholders performing market research and analyzing existing solution to ensure business impacts are identified and are accounted for

  • Ensure solutions are extensible to all clients and can serve multiple use cases whenever possible

  • Play the role of a Product Owner on agile scrum team and will:

    • Ensure an agile mindset in the team delivery and bring product vision customer insights and feedback to the team.

    • Decompose features into user stories and support development activities

    • Actively manage and prioritize team backlog and evaluate changing business/market conditions and impact to priorities

    • Communicate status updates in a transparent manner with key stakeholders on a frequent basis

    • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to effectively build launch commercialize and communicate new product features

    • Deliver product/feature demos that communicate product value proposition and features and benefits.

    • Own the feature through development lifecycle till client consumption in production including Go to Market (GTM) service description and onboarding documentation as necessary

    • Appropriately prioritize defects based on impact and provide update to stakeholders on frequent basis

  • Serve as an expert in assigned areas of product to all internal and external stakeholders both in communicating updates and soliciting feedback and new ideas to drive better products.

  • Supports and communicates an overall product vision to both internal and external stakeholders and how it relates to the achievement of longterm business objectives

  • Demonstrate leadership principles by communicating openly collaborating effectively enabling and inspiring others and excelling with partner

  • Use knowledge of a solution or service to be involved in shaping their future development in line with the customer segments

  • Identify opportunities for Visa Product to create marketleading solutions that satisfy customers and grow the business.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications :

Basic 

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred 

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems Management Computer Science or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Min of 2 years of Payments experience in particular card based transaction processing
  • Experience with ISO 8583 and/or ISO20022
  • Must have a passion for the future of payments
  • A proactive and driven individual with the capacity to adapt to solve problems address challenges and enable progression
  • Highly motivated team member who cultivates effective relationships with different levels of the organization clients and partners to accomplish shared business priorities
  • Prior experience working within an agile product development environment
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience is preferred but not required
  • Technical acumen and an ability to engage with developers and product to develop solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to work creatively strong problemsolving skills and a clear ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Curious and inquisitive problem solver leads in difficult and large problem areas by acting proactively
  • Strong team player selfmotivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities obtain buyin and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately


Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 117700.00 to 188200.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
