Job Description

The Job Mission

We are looking for a Low Voltage Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Hinkley Point C. You will play a key role in commissioning electrical systems ensuring they meet operational and safety standards. This role requires expertise in LV commissioning electrical system validation and compliance with nuclear safety regulations.

Your missions:

  • Contribute to team meetings and liaise with project managers on electrical deliverables.
  • Develop commissioning documentation for system validation and testing.
  • Ensure plant layout allows for efficient commissioning.
  • Plan and execute commissioning tests with precision and safety.
  • Supervise contractor commissioning personnel to ensure compliance.
  • Provide reports and analysis of commissioning results.
  • Support regulatory and safety compliance in nuclear commissioning activities.

Qualifications :

  • Essential Skills

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience in electrical commissioning ideally within power generation or nuclear.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of commissioning procedures documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Desired Skills

  • Experience working with LV HV DC and generator systems.
  • Knowledge of nuclear power generation or process plant systems.
  • Practical experience in nuclear plant commissioning or maintenance.
  • Familiarity with UK nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Track record of delivering major engineering projects in a technical role.
