As the Quality Assurance Supervisor you will support and deputise for the Quality Assurance Manager manage a team of direct reports and ensure compliance with industry standards customer codes of practice and external accreditation requirements. You will serve as a key point of contact for quality and food safety issues during shifts working collaboratively across departments to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Deputise for the Quality Assurance Manager as required.
- Train and mentor direct reports on procedures ensuring all training records are maintained and up to date.
- Oversee the teams workload and manage deadlines effectively.
Standards and Compliance
- Support QA and Operations teams to ensure compliance with factory procedures customer policies and accreditation standards.
- Act as a point of contact for quality and food safety concerns during shifts.
- Participate in auditing processes including QMS GMP fabrication and CCP audits.
- Assist the QA Manager with handling holds concessions rejections and incidents.
- Monitor and report on technical KPIs.
- Assist in creating QAS documents line standards and internal specifications.
- Update documentation procedures and risk assessments as needed.
- Collaborate with management and supervisors to promote Right First Time production and continuous improvement.
Customer and Audit Engagement
- Support and participate in customer visits and technical audits ensuring successful outcomes.
- Assist with daytoday BRC and retailer audit management ensuring timely and effective resolution of nonconformances.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Knowledge
- Food Science or a related qualification OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance roles.
- Experience in FMCG or similar fastpaced environments.
Skills & Experience
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Strong passion for quality and product excellence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across teams and departments.
- Experience coaching developing and mentoring team members.
- Detailoriented organised and capable of prioritising tasks effectively.
- Problemsolving mindset and continuous improvement focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
