Location: Broad Street Sheffield
Permanent fulltime
per annum
Hybrid: Minimum of 2 days in the offer per week

The Cyber Security Officer will work across teams implementing robust security measures monitoring for threats and ensuring compliance. Reporting to the Security Risk and Compliance Lead youll play a crucial role in safeguarding our systems mentoring junior analysts and driving security improvements across the business.
What will the role involve
- Monitoring identifying and responding to security incidents in real time ensuring swift resolution.
- Conducting internal technical and compliance audits to uphold security best practices and ISO 27001 compliance.
- Collaborating with teams to enhance security posture working on risk mitigation strategies and security initiatives.
- Working with key stakeholders to advocate and implement security measures across the business.
- Mentoring junior analysts and guiding cybersecurity best practices.
- Engaging with customers and auditors to assure them of SBSs security standards and controls.
- Supporting ongoing security projects and contributing to the continuous development of policies procedures and monitoring tools.
Qualifications :
What are we looking for
Were searching for a proactive security professional with a strong technical foundation and experience working in largescale environments. If you have most of the following wed love to chat:
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Officer or similar role.
- Experience conducting internal audits for ISO 27001 compliance.
- Knowledge of cloud security practices particularly AWS.
- Proficiency in vulnerability assessments risk management and security hardening techniques.
- Strong understanding of networking technologies operating systems and security best practices.
- Experience with security monitoring tools and identifying/responding to cyber threats.
It would be a bonus if you had:
- Certifications: Comptia Security CISSP AWS Certified Security.
- Experience with Rapid7 InsightVM and InsightIDR.
- Knowledge of securing enterprise databases.
- Familiarity with UK financial sector regulations.
