Role Name: Medical Assistant

Schedule:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM New York time

Job Description

We re seeking a dedicated Virtual Medical Assistant to join an innovative healthcare practice that s revolutionizing patient care in the neurological and spinal treatment space. You ll be the first point of contact for patients managing vital communication channels and ensuring smooth operational flow. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming patient calls providing professional and empathetic communication
  • Manage and coordinate patient appointments efficiently using modern scheduling systems
  • Collect and accurately document patient information and symptoms in medical databases
  • Facilitate smooth communication between patients and medical staff
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality
  • Handle administrative tasks to support daily clinic operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience


Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in professional phone handling and customer service
  • Proficiency in medical scheduling software and calendar management systems
  • Strong ability to accurately collect and document patient information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent English and Spanish communication skills
  • Previous experience in healthcare or medical office settings
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Demonstrated empathy and patience in customer interactions
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet home office setup
