KPMGs Transaction Services team supports premier clients across a range of industries with strategic and financial due diligence to help clients assess plan evaluate and manage acquisitions mergers divestments and equity offerings and beyond.

Your Opportunity Associate Director or Manager (Melbourne Sydney and Brisbane)

This role is ideal for individuals with diverse experiences from external audit CFO advisory accounting advisory corporate advisory professional service firms or accounting/commercial teams within operational businesses.

We are open to talent from the above sectors and those from Transaction Services teams who are interested in the world of Transaction Services to apply. How are you extraordinary.

Our Transaction Services team is growing nationally and in this role you will play a crucial part in guiding clients through and executing complex transactions and influencing critical business decisions while guiding a diverse team. You will support our team and clients to identify value creation opportunities and provide actionable insights on optimising value during transactions as well as:

• Financial Analysis & Due Diligence: Lead detailed financial analysis and manage the due diligence process collaborating with buyside and sellside advisers. Deliver enhanced diligence (Diligence) providing clients with a holistic assessment of an asset quantifying potential value opportunities.
• Transaction Execution & Strategy: Manage the deal lifecycle from preannouncement to implementation. Define deal strategy identify synergies and support carveout processes. Understand the transaction rationale and its impact on reporting while planning proactively to meet milestones.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication: Convey clear actionable advice ensuring insights are tailored to clients industry and strategic objectives and deliver integrated services that comprehensively address client needs. Offer alternative solutions that support clients needs while prioritising value creation.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor team members guiding them through complex tasks and fostering a collaborative environment. Monitor project progress and communicate potential issues identified during analysis or due diligence.
• Marketing & Business Development: Support business development efforts and develop proposals pitches and thought leadership content to enhance the firms market position and generate new business.

Our team collaborates closely with colleagues across Deal Advisory & Infrastructure as well as other Advisory teams Tax and Audit; it is a multidisciplinary and international environment that sits right at the heart of our one KPMG ethos.

Our team delivers at various stages of the transaction lifecycle including:

• Predeal evaluations and initial assessment of potential targets.
• Financial due diligence to uncover key issues of potential targets.
• Vendor assistance and vendor due diligence offerings for sellside clients.
• Capital market and regulatory reporting.
• Predeal carveouts of businesses for spinoff or sale; and
• Assisting clients in understanding the true strategic and operational capability of acquisitions and divestments via our integrated risk and value creation diligence.

Your Experience

• Professional experience in Transaction Services Audit or CFO Advisory with expertise in financial analysis opportunity and risk assessment and client relationship management.
• You embrace how diligence findings impact the deal rationale and valuation considerations.
• Strong analytical skills and a commercial flair to generate insights from interpreting data & financial models as well as data analytics.
• Critical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to apply financial insights to solve complex client challenges and navigate the Transaction and M&A environment.
• An ability to lead projects manage client relationships coordinate teams and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Use advanced analysis tools like Strategic Profitability Insights (SPI).
• A continuous improvement approach to internal processes and methodologies driving innovation in service delivery and helping clients solve challenges more effectively.
