In line with the Company and regional business plans deliver the operational performance of contracts ensuring programme requirements are met and financial quality health safety and environmental targets and standards are achieved. Overall responsibility for meeting client and customer expectations.
- Accountable for proactively managing the delivery of operational projects to programme in order to maximise returns and ensure high standards of health safety environmental quality and customer satisfaction.
- Drive and support the operational teams to understand and contribute to the delivery of the overall business strategy.
- Create develop and review Sector Strategy with the Business Director to support the Business Plan.
- Lead the delivery of the Sector objectives targets and deliverables as outlined within the Business Plan ensuring standards meet client expectations and critical success factors.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders to establish excellent working relationships built on trust and regular communication. Liaise with clients at a senior level attend Core and Partnering meetings and functions actively managing stakeholder perceptions.
- Lead by example on health and safety matters ensuring that all HSQ&E activity and reporting is accurate legally compliant and within group policies highlighting and resolving concerns when identified.
- Ensure there is a suite of design/procurement/construction programmes in place that are regularly reviewed and action taken to assist delivery on time.
- Ensure supply chain integration and collaboration appointing subcontractor with best value in mind.
- Strategic responsibility for resource planning and allocation to projects including demobilisation.
- Manage report and instigate continuous improvement by the effective use of KPIs.
- Contribute and support the procurement process for supply chain liaising with other departments accordingly.
- Jointly accountable with the Commercial team to ensure the effective control of finances on the contract.
- Provide up to date and accurate reports on the Contract progress and highlight any potential risk to the relevant parties.
Qualifications :
- Minimum relevant Level 6 qualification (NVQ) or relevant membership of professional body (MCIOB/MICE) and /or construction related degree
- Strong leadership capability with demonstrable experience in delivering multiple contracts across geographically dispersed locations
- Contractual and Commercially focussed with a proven track record of delivering measurable operational performance
- Able to combine high levels of personal credibility with sound experience to inspire maximum confidence at all levels
- Valid driving licence is required
- Appropriate CSCS card
- SMSTS certificate desirable
- Proficient IT skills word excel & planning software etc.
- Programming and project management skills
- Knowledge of document management systems
