This is a remote position.
We are seeking a detailoriented and organized Accountant to assist with bookkeeping financial reporting and accounts reconciliation. In this role you will be responsible for managing expenses tracking income reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate financial records. You will also collaborate with the finance team to maintain compliance and support payroll processing. Strong communication skills proficiency in accounting principles and experience with desktop accounting software are essential.
Core Tasks:
Assist with monthly and quarterly bookkeeping and reporting
Create and provide custom/adhoc reporting including budgettoactual reports
Manage outreach to suppliers/vendors to facilitate ontime payment
Properly book and manage expenses and income for accurate reporting
Reconcile accounts including bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy
Assist in preparing financial statements and maintaining general ledger accounts
Track and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable / payable
Support payroll processing and related compliance documentation
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies
Assist with other projects as needed.
Requirements
MustHaves:
3 years experience in an AR/AP or junior accounting role
2 years experience with any desktop accounting software
Proficient knowledge of accounting / accounting reporting principles
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate skills in Excel / Google Sheets
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional home office or shared work setting
Ability to work EST (with flexibility)
NicetoHaves:
Hands of experience with NetSuite or QuickBooks Desktop
CPA or similar international certification
Experience in a clientfacing role to support external relationships
