Job Description

Location: Idutywa & Surrounding Areas (Frequent Travel Required)

Industry: Fuel Retail

Job Purpose:

The Stock Controller / Auditor will be responsible for managing inventory conducting stock audits and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple service station sites. The ideal candidate should have a background in stock control auditing or accounting with strong attention to detail and the ability to travel regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Stock Management & Control

    • Monitor fuel and retail stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
    • Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize losses and discrepancies.
    • Conduct regular stock reconciliations and variance analysis.

  2. Auditing & Financial Oversight

    • Perform site audits to ensure proper financial and operational controls are in place.
    • Investigate stock losses theft and discrepancies implementing corrective actions.
    • Assist in financial reporting ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

  3. Compliance & Process Improvement

    • Ensure stock management aligns with company policies and fuel retail industry regulations.
    • Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements in stock control and accounting processes.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.

  4. Travel & Site Coordination

    • Regularly visit fuel stations along the assigned route to conduct stock checks and audits.
    • Work closely with station managers to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
    • Provide training and guidance on proper stock handling and loss prevention.

Employment Type: FullTime

Remuneration: Marketrelated based on experience

Start Date: ASAP



Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 35 years of experience in stock control auditing or financial management.
    • Fuel retail or FMCG industry experience is highly preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in stock and financial reporting.
    • Ability to work independently and travel frequently between sites.
    • Excellent numerical auditing and investigative abilities.

  • Qualifications:

    • Matric (Grade 12) required.
    • Diploma/Degree in Accounting Auditing or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
