Job Purpose:
The Stock Controller / Auditor will be responsible for managing inventory conducting stock audits and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple service station sites. The ideal candidate should have a background in stock control auditing or accounting with strong attention to detail and the ability to travel regularly.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management & Control
- Monitor fuel and retail stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize losses and discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliations and variance analysis.
Auditing & Financial Oversight
- Perform site audits to ensure proper financial and operational controls are in place.
- Investigate stock losses theft and discrepancies implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in financial reporting ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure stock management aligns with company policies and fuel retail industry regulations.
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements in stock control and accounting processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.
Travel & Site Coordination
- Regularly visit fuel stations along the assigned route to conduct stock checks and audits.
- Work closely with station managers to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance on proper stock handling and loss prevention.

- Minimum 35 years of experience in stock control auditing or financial management.
- Fuel retail or FMCG industry experience is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in stock and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently between sites.
- Excellent numerical auditing and investigative abilities.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12) required.
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting Auditing or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
