Were Looking for an Editorial Director to Lead Our Content Vision!
Are you a forwardthinking leader ready to redefine medical publishing At EMJ were searching for an exceptional Editorial Director to spearhead the growth and innovation of our content portfolio. As the driving force behind our fastgrowing editorial team youll oversee the development of highquality peerreviewed journals groundbreaking digital content and impactful client projects. Youll combine your strategic mindset with a deep understanding of the digital publishing landscape using your expertise to push the boundaries of whats possible.
In this role youll thrive on crafting content strategies that engage audiences leveraging SEO best practices and building meaningful relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and global healthcare clients. From creating innovative content formats like interactive articles to mentoring and inspiring a team of talented editors and writers youll lead the way in delivering worldclass medical education.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Craft and implement a bold forwardthinking editorial vision and strategy for EMJ/AMJ.
- Build and grow strong Editorial Boards ensuring published content meets worldclass standards.
- Drive engagement through innovative formats like interactive articles and digital campaigns.
- Champion trending topics SEO best practices and audience growth strategies.
- Develop relationships with KOLs host webinars and discussions and collaborate with key clients.
- Lead and inspire a talented editorial team fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Explore new therapeutic areas and medical fields to expand EMJs impact.
- Oversee editorial KPIs and processes to ensure efficiency accuracy and consistent delivery.
What Were Looking For:
- 10 years of editorial leadership experience preferably in medical publishing or related industries.
- Proven ability to lead mentor and develop a diverse team of editors writers and creatives.
- Deep knowledge of medical content with a passion for healthcare and industry innovations.
- Strong creative and technical writing skills across a variety of formats and audiences.
- A strategic thinker with a knack for content marketing and digital publishing trends.
- Excellent communication skills comfortable hosting events and engaging with clients.
- A growth mindset with the drive to innovate and push boundaries in content creation.

Key Information
- Salary: Negotiable
- Hours: 8.30am 5pm MonFri
- Working pattern: Up to 2 days flexibility to work from home (FT in office during probation)
- Reporting to:Chief Content Officer
- Location: Our buzzing London/Moorgate office
We operate a hybrid working environment. Wed expect to see you in the office at least 3 days a week. During your probation though youll be in with us all five daysits the best way to get you up to speed and support your development. So if youre after something fully remote this probably wont be the right fit we encourage people in office where we people are achieving their personal and professional goals.
