Job Description
SQL Database Administrator
Location: Trenton NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
- The Database Administrator will be a lead position with ability to design and develop secure datalake systems migrate data on MS SQL platforms understand and interpret Oracle scripts build scalable and secure systems. Understanding of legacy architecture system dependencies and data relationships is key.
- Collaborate with different teams both inside and outside of DOH to understand and assimilate data.
- Excellent communication skills written and spoken
- Ability to work with disparate teams infrastructure DBAs cybersecurity and outside agencies like SSA.
- We need someone strong with ETL and migrations predominantly with MS SQL Server experience with some Oracle background. The candidate should be familiar with cloud platforms particularly Azure and data migration onprem to cloud. Very strong scripting skills necessary.
Required / Desired Skills:
- Extensive IT experience using database technologies specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and above. Required 7 Years
- Advanced experience in writing debugging optimizing and performance tuning stored procedures views UDFs and complex Transact SQL (TSQL) Queries Required 7 Years
- Extensive experience writing Transact SQL (TSQL) Queries dynamic queries indexes constraints views functions. Required 7 Years
- Advanced experience in writing complex SQL queries stored procedures and database design for highly concurrent OLTP (online transactional processi Required 7 Years
- Leads the design development and planning for solutions and technology standards to solve complex business problems Required 7 Years
- Works with business support or development teams recommending system improvements. Required 7 Years
- Responsible for the core database development for a custom application. Required 7 Years
- Experience with SQL Server Integration services and Reporting services (SSIS & SSRS). Required 7 Years
- Experience managing multi DB environment setup (Including production). Required 7 Years
- Extensive experience in maintenance of highly concurrent OLTP (online transactional processing) systems. Required 7 Years
- Prior experience troubleshooting SQL Server service outages as they occur monitor systems health and performance. Required 7 Years
