Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

Avery Dennison China is seeking an adhesive sales Manager to join the  organization. In this role the successful candidate will deliver profitable revenue growth in this new high value segment. This person shall be highly selfmotivated and able to work with minimal supervision responsible for developing customer account plans encouraging customer relationships new opportunity identification and coordination of customer facing company resources to commercialize new innovative products. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Travel to evaluate customer needs and provide product recommendations ( 50% travel possible)

  • Lead short term development projects through design scaleup and commercialization 

  • Troubleshoot problems with existing adhesives and coatings solution 

  • Proficiency in analyzing technical data and develop practical solutions with minimal supervision

  • Responsible for the customer relationships and all related account activities.

  • Provide product recommendations samples technical support pricing and service information on demand.

  • Provide product quotes and actively apply valueselling tools and skills. 

  • Establish pricing programs and strategies that grow volume and improve profitability.

  • Collaborate and develop positive relationships with Customer Service Technical Service Product Management Operations and other Sales Team members to deliver outstanding service and products to customers.

  • Work with the R & D team to plan and implement product line programs including new products. 

  • Deliver top line & profit targets.  


Qualifications :

  • BS degree in Chemistry Polymer Science Engineering or related discipline providing knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories principals and concepts. 

  • 57 years of experience in adhesives or adhesive coatings field (prefer pressure sensitive adhesives) for sales roles; automotive industrial or medical segments are preferred. 

  • Proven negotiation skills/experience and demonstrated track record of sales growth and success.

  • Shown selfstarter eager to uncover and close business growth opportunities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills effectively communicating with all levels of management on complex business issues. Proficiency in English

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail. 

  • Knowledge of adhesive polymerization and materials science aspects are beneficial. 

  • Experience of adhesive technical service is beneficial. 

  • Understanding of applicable computer systems such as Microsoft Office Google Apps Salesforce.com and other function specific software.
