Job Description

The Machinist position in Leominster MA will involve the setup and operation of CNC and general machine shop equipment including HAAS machines Bridgeport mills lathes grinders and drill presses. The successful candidate will manufacture customerspecific parts ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.

  • 5 years of experience in setup and operation of CNC equipment and manual machines such as mills lathes grinders etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate CNC equipment to manufacture customerspecific metal parts
  • Read and interpret blueprints job specifications and tolerances to ensure quality production
  • Operate general machine shop equipment including Bridgeport mills lathes grinders and drill presses
  • Assemble machined components including manifolds and chutes
  • Maintain production schedules to meet ontime delivery requirements
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances and customer expectations
  • Follow all safety protocols ensuring proper machine operation and guarding at all times
  • Document work order progress including quantities produced and any deviations
  • Work on various equipment to complete multiple phases of the production process
  • Crosstrain in machining and part assembly within the Change Parts department
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Proven experience in a machining role with a focus on safety and quality

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further technical education is a plus

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Technical degree or certification in machining or a related field preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a machining environment
