Job Description

Job Summary

  • Responsible for transporting chemicals to and from the warehouse to the production areas.
  • Responsible for inventory control and warehouse organization and cleanliness. Clean and prepare returnable tote bins for use in the Chemical Blend operation. Organize bins by type and clean status.
  • Perform minor tote repairs and routine bin maintenance. DOT testing of totes to ensure the integrity of the bins.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Receive instructions from the chemical operators and pull the correct raw materials and deliver the requested quantities to the production areas.
  • Using a forklift to clear the production areas of finished packaged goods and complete raw materials and move them to a final storage location.
  • Use of SAP scanner guns to electronically move material from the storage location to the production area and back into storage.
  • Operate industrial fork truck to remove bins from tractor trailers move and stack into inventory move bins in and out of the cleaning bay.
  • Unload bins containing liquids by connecting hoses to outlet connections.
  • Use SAP to record bin numbers and change the status and locations of the bins in the system.
  • Follow all guidelines and procedures in the SemiBulk Manual.
  • Perform DOT pressure testing of certified bins.
  • Perform minor tote repairs and routine bin maintenance.
  • Perform general warehouse activities such as opening containers and crates filling warehouse orders assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED

Required:

  • Minimum of 6month related batch chemical blending/ formulation experience with hazardous materials
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment which includes experience with hazardous materials

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment which includes experience with hazardous materials
  • Ability to drive a fork truck and pass certification
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Attention to detail and numbers oriented
  • Strong computer skills including MS Outlook Excel Word and the Internet
  • Team player individual thinker
  • Customer focused; positive attitude
  • Minimum 1 year analytical testing experience
  • Prior fork truck driving experience is desired
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP

Pay rate: $30 an hour


Additional Information :

Working Conditions:

  • Standing for 8hour shifts.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Working with hazardous chemicals.
  • Working near moving machines.
